Summary
Clinical The post holder will, together with other junior doctors within the department, be responsible for the provision of Acute Medicine services to the Guys & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust including: To provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients in Renal Medicine. To participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care. Teaching All junior doctors are expected to take part in undergraduate teaching during their normal clinical work. Drs are allocated medical student teaching sessions in their timetables. Research This post has a regular commitment to involvement with the various studies being run by Ageing and health. Clinical Governance The post holder will be expected to participate in the departments clinical governance activity. Considerable opportunity to get involved in service development and audit exist. Confidentiality The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and other health service business in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998.
