Warehouse Operative Role:

Reporting to the clients manager and working in a friendly environment, you are trusted to do your job well and meet the high standards we all expect from each other. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be a vital part of every parcel’s journey, you will get to work people from varied backgrounds across our Warehouse, and enjoy teamwork at its very best.
If you are willing to roll up your sleeves and get going, you will fit right in here. We also look for Warehouse Operatives who can communicate with people from all walks of life, with the eye for detail needed to thrive in our well-organised environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Operative, there is no such thing as a dull day. Scanning, sorting and loading parcels, you will love keeping up with the pace and keeping our customers smiling.
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of the parcels using manual handling techniques.
• Moving and storing parcels in the correct warehouse area in a timely manner.
• Ensuring all parcels are free from damage and reporting any discrepancies.
• Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are always followed.
• Consistently working to good standards of health and safety and meeting company warehouse standards and procedures
Location & Commitments:
This is a demanding role that requires lifting and moving heavy items and covering a warehouse on foot. Shift patterns and durations are dependent on the client’s requirement’s, this could include unsociable hours. Based at our client’s warehouse.
Candidate requirements:
From day one, we will support you to make an impact with an induction, followed by on-the-job training. Experience is not necessary, but with a physical side to this warehouse distribution role, you will need to be able to load, lift and carry.
Essential:
• Able to meet the physical demands of the role
• Able to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
• A flexible attitude to work and hours
• Good all-round communication skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling parcels
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards achieving team goals
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Own transport, due to the warehouse location and unsociable hours
Desirable:
• Previous experience within a warehouse environment
• Previous manual handling training or experience
We will also provide a high viz, safety shoes, and plenty of support to develop with us.
