Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Nursery Assistant within our nursery. A carer working with children is primarily a fun one, you will be helping children learn through play and help to plan group activities. The role is based in a nursery which provides full day care for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Working with children provides constant challenges, personally and professionally. You could be planning a curriculum, working towards key-children, support staff with trips and working with parents – the job will vary from day to day.
Working towards the qualification of Childcare Level 2 or Childcare Level 3 with Prevista
Maximum Length of apprentice is 18 months.
The role will include:
Training towards an NVQ qualification in Childcare
To attend monthly team meetings and contribute relevant ideas
Under supervision to provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
To assist with meeting the children needs
To provide adult interaction with children during activities, play and care routines
To be aware of the settings confidentiality policy
Skills:
Enthusiasm for working with children
An interest in the care, learning and development of young children
Required licence:
Clear DBS check
