Job Title Warehouse Operations & Inventory Manager

Days and Hours Monday – Thursday 8-16.15 and Friday 8-15

Contract Personnel Norwich are recruiting on behalf of their client based in Great Yarmouth who are looking to hire a Warehouse Operations & Inventory Manager to join their well-established team on a permanent basis.

You will be leading a team to coordinate and manage the goods inwards/despatch/logistics activities. The role holder will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, despatching and assuring quality of goods.

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure highest Health, Safety, Security & Sustainability Standards for department
• Oversee logistics of receiving and despatch operations
• Management of all material physical and system processes.
• Manage internal and external transport including tender.
• Recommend process improvements to improve key stakeholder experience.
• Responsibility for site MHE requirements
• Stock reviews, control and auditing processes.
• Review setup layout and ensure efficient utilisation of space and personnel
• Monitoring and managing stock control and stock rotation
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production to ensure that materials are available when required.
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure OTIF expectations are met
• Ensure company policies are adhered to
• Motivate, coach, mentor, guide and encourage team members to flourish

Your experience/qualities will include:

• Positive attitude with strong leadership skills and ability to lead teams
• Knowledge and experience of MRP.
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practice
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of shipping legislation
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Able to think critically and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Confident in liaising and working with multiple teams around the business.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent numerical and organisation skills
• Excellent attention to detail.
