Summary
Derbyshire County Council’s ‘Highways’ section has vacancies for enthusiastic technically minded individuals to assist with the inspection and asset management of its highway structures such as: bridges, culverts and retaining walls etc. to help ensure highways are efficiently maintained for safe use.
Successful applicants will need to demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal and be reliable and flexible, as some work outside of normal hours may be required. Applicants should be capable of carrying out practical structural inspections in accordance with industry guidance, along with updating and maintaining asset management data bases.
You will be required to have the ability to travel throughout the County and have personal transport readily available to visit civil engineering sites and existing Highway Structures assets.
