Assistant Manager - Accounting Insight and Advisory

We are looking for a trained Accountant to take on the role of Assistant Manager for our client's Accounting, Insight, and Advisory department. You will have your own portfolio of clients in addition to playing an integral part in company growth and development.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting experience (FRS 102 and FRS 105 are essential.)
- Experience of working in a professional practice (experience working with medical partnerships would be advantageous.)
Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise & Project Support: Assist managers in delivering complex accountancy projects (e.g., IFRS transitions, acquisition accounting, consolidations) and maintain advanced technical knowledge through CPD and firm resources.
- Client and Team Management: Serve as the primary client contact for issue resolution, manage client portfolios, oversee project timelines and billing, and coach junior team members, with potential for line management responsibilities.

Ideally we are looking to engage with candidates that have worked in the big 4.
Pay range and compensation package
This role offers a salry of £40k - £48K. You can be based from either Edinburgh or Glasgow. It comes with a robust benefits package, which would be expecting when joining one of the UK's big 10 firms
