Summary
Barton Day Nurseries Limited is a private day nursery and pre-school based in Fazakerley.

We have a great opportunity for a level 2 apprentice to join the team, supported by award winning provider - Realise.
Roles and responsibilities include:
To work as part of a professional Early Years team.
To carry out out observations and development plans
To ensure Safeguarding of all children
Meet and greeting parents and children at the nursery
Completing handovers with parents, guardians and colleagues
Assist at snack and meal times
Setting up classrooms for the day’s activities
Supervising activities
General housekeeping of the nursery
Ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Barton Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)This will be delivered through Barton Day Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.
Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
Qualifications required
Basic level of maths and English desirable
Skills required
Basic knowledge of safeguarding
Customer service skills
Team working skills
Prospects
Upon completion of the apprenticeship programme you may be offered the opportunity to progress within the company. This could include the opportunity of a permanent position within the business.
Qualification / Standard : ST0888 Early years practitioner
Duration 15 months
