Summary


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for staff looking to progress their career and become a Clinical Team Educator for the South East Node.

The Clinical Team Educator role is a pivotal position in the management of the areas existing operational staff of all grades and visiting students, being responsible for their clinical supervision and professional development while liaising and working alongside the education department.

You will form part of the area management team and the successful candidate will have a proven set of behaviours linked to the key values of the Trust.

You will be qualified as an HCPC Registered Paramedic / NMC Nurse, working at Band 6 level and be able to work full time to fulfil the full range of operational shifts and duties.

Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development is vital and will be evidenced by your record of continuing development. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate how their personal values reconcile against the Trust's values.

All applicants for this position will be required to undergo a competitive selection process involving a formal interview and assessment.

To enable and facilitate SCAS staff to deliver high quality pre-hospital patient care by providing innovative, efficient and effective in–service development, training and education.


Provide proactive and dynamic leadership, acting as a clinical and educational figurehead in the operational field, promoting high quality patient care and advocating core Trust values.


Participate in the development and implementation of service improvement, research and policies, promoting the Trust’s strategic objectives and supporting specific initiatives (e.g. care pathway development and clinical development strategies).


Facilitate the clinical management of staff and students whilst undertaking
practice education, promoting personal development with staff to improve patient outcomes and experience, service delivery and key organisational objectives.

To undertake and facilitate additional, ad-hoc training and education (outside of the normal educational remit) as directed by the Operations Directorate / Education Department (e.g. cascade training, new clinical initiatives / directives etc.).

To promote the culture, values and behaviours of the modern, wider NHS,
providing feedback on all aspects of performance as appropriate.

Corporate Induction

It’s really important for us to ensure you have the best onboarding experience which allows you to feel a sense of belonging from the start. To help with this, we will book your Corporate Induction as soon as we possibly can (depending on availability).

All new starters need to attend our *Corporate Induction in person, this is held over one and half days from our educational centres based in: Newbury (Berkshire), Bicester (Oxfordshire) or Whiteley (Hampshire). More specific details will be sent to you once your start date has been confirmed.
