Summary
A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee, the existing Consultant Microbiologists, and the Clinical Director, within 3 months after the commencement date of the appointment. This will be agreed by the Chief Executive. The job plan will be reviewed annually and will be a prospective agreement that sets out the Consultant duties, responsibilities, and objectives for the coming year. It will cover all aspects of the Consultants professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education, and managerial responsibilities. Duties are performed flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service. An example week is given to give an indication of fixed commitments.
