Summary
A senior client in Reading seeks a full-time live-in carer to help their elderly relative move around the house in a temporary role. The client is still very independent and mainly needs help in preparing meals and doing some general care routines.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, up to 10 hours per day including breaks
Duties include:
assist in preparing meals and snacks
organising and taking the elderly person to appointments
helping with laundry and ironing
changing bed linen and making beds
assisting with bathing and personal grooming
managing the client's daily budget
getting to know the elderly person and their interests and needs
ensuring the client is safe and comfortable
This is for temporary role and the candidate is expected to work for 2 weeks starting on January 13 to 26, 2025.
