We are now recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Supervisor at our NEW club at Eton Porny First School in Eton (SL4) opening from January 2025!

This role is part time, term time only, working Monday to Friday from 2.45pm - 6.00pm.

The role

As After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of an after school club. Managing and directing a small team, you will ensure the safe and organised running of the club, fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office.

Every afternoon, the After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor will supervise an after school club where you and your team will directly organise, deliver and participate in, activities with the children in your care. You will ensure all activities are delivered to KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards at all times. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow and have FUN!

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the After School Club at our NEW after school club in Eton & Windsor (SL4), opening from January 2025.
Print off daily registers & manage safe and secure 'sign in & sign out' process each day, communicating effectively with school staff & parents at all times
Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities accordingly to children each afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate
Have awareness of, and maintain sensitivity for, any children with additional needs (Physical, Behaviour, Dietary)
Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club
Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards & KOOSA Kids internal policies & procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Safeguarding Officer in a timely fashion
Ensure the After School Club operates to Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies & procedures at all times
Carry out daily risk assessments & complete all relevant operational paperwork
Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Carry out cleaning duties as necessary

Skills & Experience

You ideally have min 2 years managerial / supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting
A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential
Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant
Be reliable and passionate over everything else
Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 11 years
