Summary
Responsible for running Logistics Naval Stores Section
Responsible for independently running Logistics Stores with accountability for all items held.
Manage resources by using most efficient and cost-effective stock ordering process demonstrating Value for Money.
Collate paperwork for material losses.
Maintain records of stock levels.
Complete end of year accounts and prepare next financial years account.
Order, receipt, and issue of stores/commodities via multiple procurement systems.
Forklift duties.
Articles in Use (AinU) Management
Carry out regular musters of articles in use and investigate any discrepancies. Accommodating managerial, annual, and ad hoc stock checks. Maintaining documentation for stores accounting and auditing.
DAS ePC
Procurement of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) and services via electronic payment card (ePC)
Mail Duties
Single Point of Contact for processing incoming and outgoing Establishment Mail Services including courier deliveries.
Other Duties
Collaboration with Royal Navy Reserve Forces PO(SC) providing mutual assistance when required and consulted.
The post requires a degree of physical ability as you will be expected to manual handle/lift and carry boxes of clothing and equipment around the store (also load/offload vehicles), and place/retrieve items and boxes from shelving that may be above head height. Protective Personal Equipment and Manual handling risk assessment shall be provided.
