Summary
The post holder will participate in all of the day to day departmental service and training activity. This would include duty radiology sessions, ultrasound lists, and general screening lists, reporting both routine and urgent cross sectional and plain film and participating in the first on call rota. The post holder may work independently in providing some of these services, dependant on experience, and after having demonstrated sufficient expertise to do so. In other sessions the post holder will work under the supervision of a consultant radiologist, though there will be no expectation of a formal training commitment from the Consultant for that session. The post holder will participate on the emergency rota as first on-call, with a consultant as second on-call.
