Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the UK's largest Utility companies across the UK, to join as an ambitious Apprentice Fabricator / Welder and help to develop the business during an exciting phase of growth.

The apprentice will work out of our Fabrication workshop based in Washington, Tyne and Wear.

Job objectives and responsibilities:

To develop a non-skilled individual into a skilled Fabricator / Welder. The development will take place through on the job training supported by an accredited 3 YEAR apprenticeship programme.



Main Duties:

-Completing apprenticeship modules within timescales

-Attending various accredited manufacturing training as required

-Travel to client sites as per requirements of the business

-Complete daily task reviews and evidence of on the job training

-Ensure compliance with NSI standards, Company quality standards

-Ensure uniform and PPE is worn at all times

-Adherence to H&S prohibitions (depending on age).

-Ensure basic hand tools are acquired and maintain in line with the requirements of the role.



Person Specification:

-Skills / Knowledge working with Steel or aluminium

- IT Competency

-Flexible and diligent, with a willing attitude to work

-Ability to complete tasks to clear deadlines

-Hold a valid UK Driving Licence

-Good verbal communication skills

-Professional and positive in manner

-Presentable appearance.



Health and Safety responsibilities:

-Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times

-Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment

-Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received

-Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
