Summary
Highways Enforcement Officer needed in South West London Paying £144.12 per day ref 1409100
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Duties:
- Investigate environmental crimes and utilize statutory powers for enforcement.
- Conduct routine patrols to identify and address littering, graffiti, fly-tipping, and other offenses.
- Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for environmental violations, ensuring proper evidence collection.
- Coordinate with relevant services or contractors for the removal of environmental offenses.
- Inspect licensed and unlicensed highway activities, issuing penalties for infringements.
- Address unlicensed shop fronts and tables/chairs on public highways.
- Investigate abandoned vehicles and manage their potential removal.
- Report highway damage and coordinate necessary remedial actions.
- Conduct interviews and prepare statements for legal proceedings as per the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
- Act as a professional witness in legal actions related to enforcement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory duties and relevant legislation.
