Summary

The Manchester Sign Company in Failsworth are recruiting for an Apprentice Lean Manufacturing Operative. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship over the duration of 15 months.

Job description:
Working under supervision learning various sign applications including:
• Computer designing and printing
• Cutting panels
• Fixing graphics on vehicles
• Assisting with other members of staff when required
• Using wide format printers - EPSON Sure Colour
• Learning all about the loading processes and RIP software
• Flat bed printer - EPSON V7000 - learning various processes inc white ink and varnish applications
• Cutting vinyl using Graphtech Plotter, weeding and applying to panels
• Following instructions
• Using a laser to cut shapes and letters
• Printing and producing banners
• Working to deadlines
• Packaging for dispatch

Requirements:
• Keen and willing to learn
• Punctual
• Reliable
• Practical ability
• Numerate and literate
• Willing to progress
• Occasional weekend work will be involved.

Hours:
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, 30 minutes lunch (unpaid), 2 x 15 minute breaks am/pm, 40 hours per week.
