Summary

Corporate & Delivery is responsible for ensuring that operational and policy teams in the Home Office have the support they need to achieve the Department’s priorities. The work is captured in a wide portfolio of enabling functions including human resources, estates, finance, investment management, performance management, governance and assurance, commercial, science and innovation and security.

The finance function comprises two Director roles with a Strategic and Operational focus. The Strategic Finance Directorate focuses on future financial planning, risk and business partnering. The Operational Finance Director is focused on accounts production, system and management accounting, transactions and the in-year financial reporting, and finance responsibilities for the Synergy Shared Services programme.

As the Finance Director - Operations you will report to the DG, Corporate & Delivery and will provide strong leadership for financial management and control for the Home Office, with a relentless focus on maximising the efficiency of the Department’s delivery;
