Description
The YOS Officer plays a critical role in the development and implementation of youth outreach and support programs within the organization. The primary focus of this position is to engage with young people to understand their needs, provide guidance, and connect them with resources that promote their well-being and development. The YOS Officer will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including schools, community organizations, and local agencies, to create a positive impact on the lives of youth in the community. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering healthy relationships, advocating for youth rights, and facilitating opportunities for youth to express themselves and build their skills. As a YOS Officer, you'll be responsible for planning and executing workshops, coordinating events that encourage youth participation, and implementing programs that address the unique challenges faced by young individuals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of youth culture, demonstrate empathy and patience, and exhibit strong communication skills to inspire and motivate youth. With an emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility, this role is crucial for ensuring that young people feel supported and empowered to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement youth outreach initiatives and programs.
Engage with young people to assess their needs and provide appropriate resources.
Collaborate with schools and community organizations to coordinate activities and support services.
Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance youth skills and empowerment.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and participant outcomes.
Advocate for youth rights and provide guidance in navigating available resources.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions and program activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth in a community or educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with young people.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
Demonstrated understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
