Demonstrating sound knowledge of the relevant social care legislation and policies relating to adult safeguarding and being confident in applying them to practice is key to this opportunity. You will be required to work collaboratively with a range of different services and organisations; ensuring that the individual is at the heart of the safeguarding process.

We are seeking a confident communicator and team player who is quick to learn and able to manage a varied caseload. You will be keen to enhance your professional development and be committed to participating in peer discussions and learning. You will be required to assess and manage risk and use appropriate escalation processes.

About the Role:

As a social worker in our Adult Safeguarding team, you'll be at the forefront of providing essential support and services to vulnerable adults. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough strengths based Section 42 enquiries with excellent written and communication skills
  • Working closely with the Care Act 2014 and statutory responsibilities
  • Continuing your own professional development and supporting the ongoing development of the team.

About You:

We're looking for a qualified social worker who is:

  • Experienced in assessments with a strong understanding of safeguarding
  • Passionate about making a positive impact and ensuring the highest standard of service
  • A compassionate team player with excellent organizational skills

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • Social Work England registration.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal frameworks relevant to Adult Social Work
  • Experience supporting and mentoring ASYE social workers/students is preferred, but not essential as we will support you with this opportunity
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a full UK driving license

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week.
