Overview:
As a Toddlers Football session lead, you will be responsible for introducing children aged 18 months to 7 years the basic concepts of football in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. This role requires a blend of patience, enthusiasm, and creativity to engage young children in physical activity while fostering a love for the sport
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement age-appropriate football drills and games designed to introduce toddlers to fundamental skills such as kicking, dribbling, and passing.
Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere where toddlers feel encouraged to participate and explore their abilities.
Demonstrate proper techniques and provide hands-on guidance to toddlers during practice sessions, ensuring their safety at all times.
Adapt communication methods to accommodate the varying attention spans and abilities of toddlers, keeping activities engaging and interactive.
Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and offering guidance on how to support their development at home.
Foster teamwork and sportsmanship among toddlers, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and fair play.
Maintain a clean and organized practice area, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and safe for use.
Uphold all safety guidelines and protocols established by the organization, including proper supervision and first aid procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children, preferably in a coaching or teaching capacity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both children and parents effectively.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with toddlers.
Ability to adapt to the dynamic nature of working with young children, remaining flexible and responsive to their needs.
DBS checks will be needed prior to appointment.
