Summary
The Role & Key Responsibilities

It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.
In this role you will be working as part of the Central Quality Management Team, responsible for the maintenance of forensic quality standards across the forces. You will assist the Quality Management Team in quality standards and regulation (e.g. BS EN ISO/IEC 17025, Forensic Science Regulator's Code of Practice) to ensure compliance across various units within Surrey and Sussex Police, working closely with operational teams such as CSIs, Digital Forensics, Fingerprints etc. You will work as part of a team to develop a culture of quality, influencing peers and police managers around quality requirements and compliance. You will receive in-house training around the role and the Quality Management System used.
As part of the Quality Management Team, you will actively manage the Quality Management System for the force, ensuring adherence to key supporting activities such as auditing, investigation into non-conforming work and document reviews. You will work with the team to actively promote continual improvement opportunities both with operational units and the wider Quality Management System.

Qualifications:
GCSE English/Maths
Knowledge, skills & experience:
Experience of working in a team environment together with maintaining good working relationships across of range of internal customers and stakeholders
Excellent communication skill with the ability to deal promptly and effectively with all queries and tasks
Good written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate records and reports
Proven ability to manage a high workload and prioritise work accordingly often with tight deadlines
Excellent planning and organising skills
Good knowledge of IT software tools including Microsoft Office programs
