Summary
Thorn Baker are looking to recruit 2 x experienced steel fixers for work to start in Cannock, Wallsall (WS12) for a nationwide company. Work will commence on the 18th November with plenty of hours avaialable.
You will be working on an industrial estate in Cannock
Experience and Qualifications required
• Full understanding of duties required for Steel Fixing.
• Experienced Steel worker with previous experience of carrying out installation and erection of steel on site.
• Ability to read and understand steel fixing drawings.
• CSCS Card Blue (Skilled Worker)
• Manual Handling
Work may involve:
• Use hand and power tools to cut and bend bars or mesh
• Erect steel reinforcement for the construction of concrete structures (columns, walls, decks and so on)
• Tie rebar (reinforcement bars) together with wire, clips or welds to build up cages or sections
• Apply spacing blocks as specified
• Install beams and pre-cast slabs and fixing steel to concrete bases
