Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A dynamic MEP contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team. This full-time role offers an exciting chance to work with some of the most prestigious clients and projects across various sectors, including retail, commercial, banking, hospitality, and leisure.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Estimator, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and competitive estimates to support a range of projects. Working in a collaborative team environment, this position offers a mix of office-based and client-facing responsibilities, with opportunities for career development as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze tenders, specifications, and designs to produce cost take-offs.
• Calculate costs for materials, labor, and preliminaries.
• Source and obtain quotes from specialist suppliers.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
• Utilize software such as CAD, Excel, and Word for project estimation.
• Conduct site visits to support tender bids and project planning.
• Attend client meetings to present cost estimates and secure sales.
• Collaborate with internal sales and project teams to prepare tender returns and bids.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical estimation, with added experience in mechanical estimation as an advantage. They should have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in electrical estimation; mechanical knowledge is a bonus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
