Summary
Production Operative
Location: Manchester
Mon – Fri 7:30am – 4:30pm
Starting Salary: £28,204 pa
Rising to £28,704 pa (after the probation period)
Ideal Recruit are looking for a Production Operative to work for our reputable client based in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
• To safely set up, monitor and maintain sheet metal working machinery and equipment to its maximum potential and achieve production targets, whilst maintaining the quality of manufactured sheet metal duct fittings.
• Ensure consistent acceptable quality of products and report any defects to the team leader.
• General housekeeping, ensuring that the machinery and its adjacent area is kept clean and tidy.
• To ensure safety guards are always in place and be aware of, and comply with, all health and safety requirements.
• When necessary, help with the picking, packing and loading of goods to facilitate output
• Maintain production/material records.
• Involvement in company stock taking as necessary.
• Willing to learn new skills and undertake training as required
• Any other duties that the Production Manager may request to ensure the smooth running of the factory
Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
• Production experience
• Sheet metal experience
• Sheet metal machinery experience
• FLT licence
• Attention to detail
• The ability and experience to operate and control equipment
• To be thorough and pay attention to detail
