Summary


We are really excited to be able to offer the opportunity to become part of our pharmacy team within the Pennine locality. You would be working closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to manage medicines within our inpatient service at Pendleview in Blackburn and out brand new unit Woodview in Whalley.

We would like to invite applications for a Band 3 pharmacy support worker (assistant) who has an interest in mental health and a desire to contribute to a safe and efficient service within our specialist mental health inpatient setting.

Interview date - Tuesday 3rd December 2024

You will have the NVQ2 in pharmacy services or equivalent and be enthusiastic and conscientious. Previous experience in mental health would be desirable but not essential.

You will work closely with the pharmacy technician to manage the stocks of medicines on the wards. The role will include; stock checks and subsequent ordering, receipt and delivery of medicines to individual wards, ensuring an audit trail of all medicines delivered. You would contribute to the safe storage of medication on the wards ensuring the necessary environmental checks are undertaken and also participate in audit of the clinic areas.

You will have a logical approach to tasks and be able to manage your own time.
