We’re currently looking for Mixing Operatives to join the Romix team, where we have vacancies on our Midday shift 10.00am to 18.00pm
Functional Title: Mixing Operative
Location: Leigh
Salary: £12.10 for training period increasing to £12.76ph when fully trained
Working Hours Midday shift: your initial training will be for 4-6 weeks on the 06.00am to 14.00pm shift, on completion of training you will move to the 10.00am to 18.00pm shift.
Working Hours Morning shift:06.00am to 14.00pm.
Summary Statement
Prepare mixes to the required quality and legal standard using recipe, operating and quality procedures. Document mixing information as required by QC procedures. Clean mixing equipment to ensure no product cross contamination. Ensure 100% attainment to production plan.
Key Duties:
Mixing
Prepare mixed product to required specification, following operating and quality procedures. Ensure relevant mixing operations are completed accurately, especially with regard to lot/batch control.
Product Quality
Ensure product is positively released by the QC Department before supplying product to the packing lines.
Cleaning
Ensure mixing equipment is cleaned as required using cleaning procedures. Ensure cleaning is recorded using relevant documentation.
Hygiene and Housekeeping
Maintain the process areas to a high level of good housekeeping and hygiene. To report any pest control issues to the Technical Department.
Health & Safety
To satisfy the legal requirements by being responsible for your own and your colleagues’ Health and Safety.
Training
Full training will be provided. Previous food production experience/ food hygiene certificate would be desirable but not essential.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
Knowledge of the safe operation of all mixing equipment.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Numerate.
Literate.
Effective communication skills.
To be successful in this role you’ll have an excellent eye for detail, strong communication skills. The Ability to work on own initiative, a strong work ethic and a pro-active approach to everything you do. Previous experience within the food industry is not essential, we’re interested in hearing about the transferable skills you have, particularly if you have previous experience of working with machinery or within a factory environment.
