Summary
Solid As A Lock Hardware is a leading Security & Lock Specialist located in Leeds. We supply high quality door and window hardware including multipoint door locks, window and door handles, cylinders, garage door locks, window and door mechanisms and key cutting to both trade and public. We also provide comprehensive professional locksmith services to homes and businesses.
We are looking for a friendly and approachable professional to work as a trade counter sales assistant. You will greet customers, process sales, assist with product enquiries, handle payments, cut keys and pack and post online orders. Ideally you will have had previous experience of working on a busy trade counter, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Previous experience of key cutting and working with locks and security products is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
Responsibilities:
• Meeting and greeting customers at the trade counter.
• Processing sales and taking customer payments at the checkout till.
• Picking, packing, and posting online orders.
• Cutting keys.
• Dealing with face to face, telephone, and email enquiries.
• Providing advice and product recommendations to customers.
• Providing customers with information such as stock availability, pricing, and lead times.
• Providing technical support on products for customers.
• Liaising with suppliers and ordering new stock.
• Checking, receiving, and unpacking new shipments from suppliers.
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with your team and customers.
• Collaborating with other team members to keep the front desk area clean and organised at all times.
Requirements:
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Previous experience of working in a trade or retail environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• High level of self-motivation.
• Good organisational skills.
• Driven to achieve high standards.
• Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative.
• Knowledge of key cutting/locks desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
