Administration Assistant Wanted at an Inspiring SEN School near Burgess Hill- Immediate Start

Location: Haywards Heath
Position: Administration Assistant
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm)

About The School:
Are you ready to make a difference in a welcoming, supportive environment? This SEN school in Haywards Heath is more than just a place of learning-it's a vibrant community where every individual is valued. Here they're passionate about providing a nurturing space for both students and staff to grow. With exciting developments happening at the school, they're looking for a motivated Administration Assistant to join the team and help them continue on this journey.

What You'll Do:
As an essential part of the team, your role will go beyond day-to-day admin. You'll be the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, ensuring the school runs smoothly.
Some of your key tasks will include:

  • Managing phone calls, emails, and the front desk with a friendly, professional approach.
  • Assisting with student admissions and maintaining accurate records in our database.
  • Supporting the senior leadership team by scheduling meetings, organising diaries, and preparing documents.
  • Coordinating logistics for school events, trips, and activities.
  • Making sure that our welcoming environment is upheld for everyone who walks through our doors.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: Some admin experience is great (bonus points if it's in a school, but not essential).
  • Tech Skills: Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with school systems? Awesome! If not, they'll show you the ropes.
  • Communication: Excellent at building rapport, whether it's face-to-face, over the phone, or via email.
  • Organised: Able to juggle multiple tasks, prioritise your day, and keep things running like clockwork.
  • Attitude: Positive, approachable, and ready to take on any challenge with a smile.

Why Join The School?

  • Be part of a close-knit, energetic team where your contributions are recognised.
  • Work in an environment that's dynamic, rewarding, and all about making a difference.
  • Professional growth opportunities-whether you're starting out or looking to enhance your skills.
  • Have a direct, positive impact on the lives of students and the day-to-day life of the school.
