Forever Savvy is seeking a dedicated Support Worker/Job Coach to join our team at Horse Savvy, located in Broughton Astley.
At Horse Savvy, you will be responsible for assisting adults who have moderate to severe learning difficulties in an outdoor equestrian setting throughout the year.
Role Overview
In this fulfilling, part-time role, you’ll work with adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, fostering experiential learning and personal growth through hands-on, work-based activities. As a Support Worker/Job Coach, you’ll support and inspire clients to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and engage meaningfully in their work placements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide guidance and serve as a positive role model for individuals with learning disabilities.
• Motivate and engage clients, helping them develop self-confidence in a supportive work setting.
• Facilitate experiential learning by guiding activities in gardening, woodworking, and animal care.
• Work with animals—including poultry, guinea pigs, and horses—in an outdoor environment.
• Encourage teamwork and independence by working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ideal Candidate Qualities
• Passionate about making a difference in others' lives.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience working with animals in an outdoor setting.
• Able to support clients in building essential life and work skills.
Requirements
• Hours: 10 hours per week, Monday and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Rate of Pay: £11.44 per hour.
• Transport: Must have a personal vehicle for client transport with business insurance (mileage reimbursed).
No prior experience in social care is required; however, a passion for hands-on activities and community support is essential. Relevant training and career development opportunities are available within our growing organization.
If you’re looking for a rewarding position with a community-focused project, please apply with your CV and cover letter to Stacey at StaceyBedford@foreversavvy.co.uk.
