About the role:
Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their clients skilled team in Ilfracombe. This is a night shift position, with the primary focus on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of industrial equipment in the manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain industrial equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
- Replace faulty parts and components
- Work closely with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules
- Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Keep accurate maintenance records
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer on industrial equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
- Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery
- Experience in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Hours:
This is a night shift position, working 8-hour shifts 23.45pm - 0745am Tuesday-Saturday, with occasional overtime required.
