Summary
v Employee to perform all Management duties in line with Rhenus Values.
v Organise and take responsibility of all the warehouse three operations.
v Take responsibility that all Standard Operating Procedures and operating practices are fit for purpose and adhered to.
v Ensure all SSOW, Health and Safety and Quality policies are adhered to.
v Champion partnership culture across key clients.
v Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
· Management and control of all operational activity, resources and equipment
· Communicate daily and weekly with the management team
· Ensure training matrix is fully understood and utilised, creating a cross client multi skilled staff base
· Control agency usage and quality using a baseline for staff previously inducted into the Rhenus site and expectations
· Deliver customer satisfaction and service excellence
· Ensure site security measures are maximised with strict controls on pedestrian and driver access
· Escalate customer/contract challenges to allow support through colleagues and managers
· Liaise directly with the Logistics Contract Manager ensuring expected service is understood, briefed and delivered
· Control cost to operate and understand the catalyst for fluctuations in contract volumes spikes to overall expenditure
· Create shift briefs and daily operational plans both for cascading down and reporting upwards within senior reports
· Maintain and improve housekeeping standards
· Understand individual customer challenges and ensure solutions are briefed and results monitored
· Develop staff under the continuous improvement strategy delivery a full succession plan throughout the operatives, team leaders and supervisors
· Monitor and review staff retention working with HR to ensure understanding of staff turnover for reasoning and method for increasing retention
· Review, analyse and recover operational errors both internally and externally thus improving SLAs
· Support Logistics Operations Manager in the target 5% cost reduction initiatives in line with HEW contract recording opportunity and actions taken
· Fully responsible for the H&S of the warehouse in which is under your management
