Summary
Since 1984, McNealy Brown Ltd has been an established steelwork design, fabrication and installation company, located in Sittingbourne Kent. Specialising in structural and architectural steelwork on the railway and LUL infrastructure, we are currently looking for a Welder/Fabricator from the Kent area to join our direct workforce, working primarily in our workshops in Sittingbourne.
The ideal candidate will be competent in:
• Structural steel fabrication and welding to strict industry tolerances, ideally already having a recognised competency i.e. NVQ Level 2 or 3 / coded welding certification
• Complete MIG/MAG welding to a high standard, in various position
• Manufacture complex shapes and assemblies
• Accurately interpret CAD fabrication and assembly drawings
• Follow the safe systems of work provided and promote a positive safety culture
• Recognise the importance of good housekeeping and be considerate with materials, plant and tools
• Have good communication at all levels using a good standard of written and spoken English
You may be required to take a medical and drug/alcohol test during the selection process and randomly during any future employment. This is intended to be a full time, permanent role.
47.5 hours per week with occasional overtime. Remuneration will be dependent on experience and certifications held.
