Summary
Part Time Fixed Term Welsh Translator (0.6 FTE) x 3 days per week – Remote
St. David’s College is a popular and over-subscribed Sixth Form College providing high quality education for 16-19 year olds within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. In our 2019 Estyn inspection we achieved an ‘excellent’ grade in inspection area one for standards, and in inspection area five for leadership and management.
Governors seek to appoint a highly enthusiastic Welsh Translator. We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for providing high-quality, professional translation services between Welsh and English, ensuring compliance with the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011 and Welsh Language Standards 2018. The successful candidate will translate a range of materials, from formal college documents to student communications.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check will be undertaken. We are an Equal Opportunities employer with excellent CPD provision.
The position is offered as a part –time role on a fixed term contract. It attracts a salary of £30,383 (pro-rata) and offered as a remote role.
Candidates shortlisted for interview will be expected attend a Teams interview in the week commencing 18th November 2024.
