This post is offered as a twelve month fixed term contract The Guildford and Waverley Frailty Academy was set up in 2021 by consultant geriatricians who recognised the need for everyone working with and/or caring for older people (whether paid or voluntary) to be trained in identifying frailty and helping people who have frailty to age well. We know that people living in Surrey can expect to enjoy a long life expectancy the average life expectancy is nearly 82 years for men and 85 years for women. In Guildford and Waverley there are more than 30,000 residents over the age of 65 years so it is more important than ever that we support people to age well by identifying frailty and managing frailty effectively.
