About The Team:

SRUC (Scotland’s Rural College) is a specialist higher education institution delivering tertiary education, research and consultancy. SRUC’s principal purpose is to advance education, science, research, and environmental protection and improvement in rural and land-based industries, both domestically and internationally.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Technical Support Officer to join our friendly team at Elmwood Campus, Cupar.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will be to attend to the care of the animals in the small animal care department, ensuring high welfare standards are maintained at all times. The facility is used to support the delivery of practical teaching sessions for students undertaking courses at SRUC Elmwood.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Feeding
  • Watering
  • Health checking
  • Cleaning enclosures and associated work areas

    This is a zero-hour contract, covering weekends, up to 8 hours per month.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    There is no formal qualification required for this role, although a National Certificate in Animal care would be desirable (SCQF Level 5).
