Summary
D & E Distributors Ltd in Chorley are recruiting for an Apprentice Industrial Sewing Machinist. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Furniture Occupations Apprenticeship which will take approximately 24 months to complete.
Duties:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will;
• Operate specialist, industrial sewing machines
• Work with a variety of materials, threads and trimmings
• Use a variety of sewing production techniques and methods
• Check and maintain appropriate stock level
• Follow instructions and learn about technical specifications
• Adhere to Company Health & Safety measures
• Sewing orders to agreed timescales
Requirements:
• Helpful and friendly manner
• A strong work ethic
• A good team player
• Good communication skills
• Self Motivated
• Good attention to detail
• Good standard of Maths and English

No formal qualifications required.
