We are expanding our Neighbourhood Estates Team within Housing and due to this, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Neighbourhood Estates Supervisor (Caretaking) to join the team. The team performs the caretaking and cleaning function for all of Gentoo’s high-rise buildings throughout the City of Sunderland. In this role, you will support the Neighbourhood Estates Manager to lead and coordinate a team of Caretakers to ensure exceptional service delivery in all aspects of the Caretaker Service. We are looking for a customer-focused individual, with a drive to help us deliver improved Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) in line with our delivery model. We are looking for a can-do attitude and passion for delivering excellent customer service, with the proven ability to deliver exceptional performance both personally and as part of the team. We are looking for a flexible approach to work, it's essential applicants hold a UK driving licence and can use their own vehicle to meet the travel requirements of the role, you will be able to claim for all business mileage. The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo. *Please note that we will not be accepting applications from candidates who have recently applied for this vacancy* Key responsibilities will include the following, a full job description is available to view at www.gentoogroup.com/careers Main responsibilities: Supervision of the Caretaking team to maximise productivity, performance and quality whilst ensuring the development of the Team. Execution of all works, ensuring compliance with all appropriate Health and Safety legislation, standards and regulations. Ensure targets and performance standards are delivered. Effectively plan and maintain appropriate levels of staff cover throughout our high rise buildings. Maintain effective administration of orders, including the requisition of materials required and the receipt of materials to ensure a continuous caretaking service. Liaise with local Housing Management and Repairs and Maintenance Teams to ensure a smooth and efficient service for our customers. Undertake the role of Caretaker where required.
What we are looking for:
A full UK driver's licence plus the ability to use your own vehicle to meet the travel requirements of the role. Previous experience in supervising a team, with experience in caretaking/cleaning. Proven experience in delivering and developing excellent customer service. You will have the demonstrable ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve performance targets. It's essential that you have Caretaking/cleaning knowledge, with an awareness of current health and safety legislation. Demonstrable organisational, administrative and IT skills.
