As a Porter (Maintenance) at our Guildford Hospital, you'll need to be a good communicator, as this role involves helping our patients to feel relaxed and reassured, from the moment they enter the carpark until they leave after their treatment. It's also essential that you're happy to undergo our Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, as part of your application.
As a Porter (Maintenance), you will:

Be part of a close-knit professional team.

Collect and return patients to their individual rooms, on arrival and after other departments for tests and scans.

Work with your colleagues to ensure that the hospital environment is clean, safe and welcoming.

Ensure the car park and hospital grounds are utilised in the most efficient way, neatly kept and safe.

Work in a conscientious methodical manner to ensure all aspects of the job are carried out to support the clinical staff in the most effective manner.

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. Our care is matron led and we are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, pathology labs and oncology units. We've been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.
