Hours: 36.66 (will consider candidates who want to work flexible and part-time hours)

Based: 22 Union Street, OL1 1BE (will consider some elements of remote working)

Role Overview:

Oldham Council are looking for candidates to support the Get Oldham Working programme, while working, learning, earning, and completing a qualification. We encourage all candidates to apply, regardless of previous experience and/or qualifications. We are looking for commitment and passion beyond anythign else. If you want to work in a service, which helps others to succeed in life, this maybe the right job for you!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enrol onto key qualification and support the service in this area, such as employer engagement, career management or leadership and management.
  • Support front line service in engaging with customers to support motivation and provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide general administrative duties as and when required for the service.


Key Requirements:

  • Be able to demonstrate that you can communicate effectively to build good relationships with others.
  • Can use IT systems, such as outlook.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service including helping with several different tasks and potentially at different locations.
  • Be reliable and punctual.
  • Willingness and ability to work towards a level 4 qualification or higher.
