Role Purpose:
As a Care Home Sales and Development Lead at Runwood Homes, your primary responsibility is to support care home managers along with the Commercial Director in driving occupancy levels across the homes. This will involve advising managers on sales strategies and reporting on key occupancy data. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall commercial performance of the homes by identifying opportunities to attract new residents and increase occupancy rates.
Key Responsibilities:
Occupancy Management:
Collaborate with care home managers to develop and implement strategies that maintain or improve occupancy rates.
Monitor and analyse occupancy trends across multiple homes to identify areas for improvement and advise managers on corrective actions.
Provide insights and advice to managers on the sales process, lead generation, and resident admissions.
Sales Support:
Actively support the care home managers in converting inquiries and potential residents into confirmed admissions.
Work closely with the marketing and admissions teams to ensure that all promotional activities and campaigns effectively target potential residents and their families.
Participate in local community engagement to build relationships and promote the care homes.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records ensuring all leads, inquiries, and sales activities are tracked and followed up in a timely manner.
Provide training and guidance to care home managers and teams on using systems to manage occupancy effectively.
Generate regular reports on occupancy, sales performance, and lead conversion rates for senior management review.
Reporting & Analysis:
Compile and present occupancy and sales reports to the Commercial Director and senior leadership team on a regular basis.
Analyse data trends, sales performance, and occupancy levels, providing recommendations on how to optimize occupancy rates.
Prepare occupancy forecasts and contribute to the annual sales planning process.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices related to care home sales and occupancy management.
Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies, particularly in a care setting.
Ability to analyse data, report on trends, and use insights to drive occupancy improvement.
Knowledge of care home regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with experience in community engagement or partnership development.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles in sales and occupancy challenges.
This position will be field based role and involves significant travel within the regions, to visit different care homes.
