We currently have several permanent and temporary vacancies in Schools covering as required on a backshift Monday to Friday only.

Primary Schools

- Townhill Primary School - 10 hours per week 40-week contract (as required between 3.00pm – 8.00pm)
- Carnegie Primary School - 20 hours per week 40-week contract (3.00pm – 7.00pm) – this post is temporary for 1 year

High Schools

- Dunfermline Learning Centre - 20 hours per week 40-week contract (Monday to Thursday 3.40pm – 7.40pm, Friday 12.30pm to 4.30pm)
- Dunfermline Learning Centre - 10 hours per week 40-week contract (Monday to Thursday 3.40pm – 5.40pm, Friday 12.30pm to 2.30pm) – this post is temporary for 1 year

You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

- We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.67 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
- Pay is annualised for 40-week contracts (equal instalments every 4 week pay period)

This work is about ensuring pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day. You will go home each day knowing you have made a difference.

No previous experience is required as on the job training is given, working towards The Cleaning Operatives Proficiency Certificate.


You will be required to attend Induction Training before starting in post.
