Morgan Hunt are exclusively working with a college based in East London that are looking for experienced Behaviour Mentors to join their exceptional team.
The college are looking for the Behaviour Mentors to start ASAP, on a long term full time basis.
About the role:
Each class has 10+ pupils, and your role would be to ensure that students are working and staying focused in lessons. The learners ages would range from 13-18 years old and students can pose challenging behaviours, so de-escalation skills are essential. You will support the class teacher throughout the day.
The typical college day runs from 8:30am until 4pm.
Responsibilities:
- Managing pupil's behaviour
- Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support and working under the instruction of the class teacher
- Helping the students with their life skills
You must:
- Have experience in an educational setting - preferably a PRU or SEND provision
- Have previous experience of working with students with ASD, SEMH or as a 1:1 support role
- Available full time
- Possess a flexible work ethic be willing to adapt and work to deadlines successfully
- Have an enhanced DBS that is dated within the last 12 months or is on the update service
