Summary

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical to strengthen their delivery team.

Location: Kent, England.

Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical role:

• You will assist the Project Manager in managing the entire project lifecycle, from design through to closeout.
• This includes ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and environmentally responsibly, while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical responsibilities:

• Support project management activities.
• Assist in developing and monitoring the project schedule and producing regular progress reports.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on design and procurement matters.
• Assist in preparing project handover documentation.
• Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality.
• Encourage innovation and continuous improvement to enhance safety and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with the Quantity Surveyor to develop and monitor project budgets, identify cost variances, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical requirements:

• Project Engineering experience.
• Proven experience in delivering projects using NEC3 contracts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Preference for candidates with APMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
• Experience in non-infrastructure water treatment.
• Previous mechanical engineering experience preferred.
