About the role

Working at Greggs you will find that we are industry leading when it comes to our fleet, technologies and importantly, training our Driver colleagues. We place the highest of importance on ensuring our Drivers and fleet are safe and compliant. So, we’ll provide you with the best training including annual CPC training, Advanced Driver training, Tachograph training, DVWC, Slow Manoeuvre and The Highway Code training.

As well providing brilliant training, Greggs will pay for your DCPC, Driver medicals and Driver card.

What you’ll do

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you’ll be driving one of our modern fleet of refrigerated HGVs, fitted with the latest technology and safety features, such as telematics and vehicle cameras. You’ll be a key player in making sure that some of the nation’s favourite products are delivered to our shops on time and in full for our loyal customers. You’ll need to make sure all safety checks have been met and you’ll carry out multi drop deliveries of chilled, frozen and ambient goods to our shops daily, including bank holidays and weekends. You’ll be trained in key control as some deliveries will be made when shops are closed.

About you

  • You are enthusiastic, reliable and take pride in your role as a professional driver

  • You have held a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Category C/Class 2 driving license for at least 1 year (Maximum 6 penalty points)

  • You have an up-to-date Driver CPC card and training

  • Hold a valid digital Tachograph card

  • You have excellent knowledge of driver\'s hours regulations

  • You’ve ideally worked as a multi-drop driver within the food industry previously

  • Experience of tail-lift operation and refrigeration would be beneficial

  • You can meet the shift requirements for this vacancy
