A vacancy has arisen for the post of Community Library Officer at St Ninians Library. You will assist in the development, operation and delivery of a range of library services, engaging with the community and encouraging use by all age groups. You will be educated to standard grade or equivalent, be interested in literature and have good ICT skills. A flexible approach to the working week, which may include evening and weekend working, is essential. You may be required to work in other locations. You will have good communication skills, be customer focussed and able to work unsupervised. Previous library experience and experience of using a Library Management System is essential.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) Basic Disclosure. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
