Summary


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Children’s Physiotherapist to take on a Clinical Lead role within our Children’s Therapy Service in West Lancashire. We are looking for proactive, enthusiastic and forward thinking Physiotherapist, who in turn are looking for their next challenge.

If you feel you would love to explore new ways of working; bring your ideas for service improvement to life and have the skills to support and develop your colleagues to provide the best possible person centred care for our Children & Families then this is the role for you.

You may have completed some leadership training already or have a real desire to develop this area of your practice. Relevant training will be provided to support the further development of the right candidates. We are able to offer a full induction from the current Clinical Leads to ensure a smooth transition for anyone wanting to take this next exciting step.

You will be required to provide expert clinical advice and be responsible for a highly specialist portfolio within our Neuro Motor long term conditions pathway. Providing leadership to relevant care pathways and be proactive in transforming the service in line with current best practice; observing the Trust values and striving for excellent service user care and experience.



You will manage a mixed clinical caseload of children and/or young people with complex and/or additional needs. Providing clinical leadership and supervision facilitating a culture of learning and reflective practice to assure against HCPC Professional Standards.

Our Children’s Therapy Service at LSCFT is a community service that is commissioned for ages 0-19. We operate across a variety of community settings including special and mainstream schools, clinics, and within a home setting.

We currently follow specialist pathways including MSK, Developmental MSK, Sensory Motor Difficulties and Neuro Motor long term conditions, all of which are driven by strong clinical leadership. We are currently looking to transform these pathways to ensure we are using the latest evidence based practices and fully centred around the needs of our Children & Families, and our Clinical Leads are integral to that review an fantastic opportunity to influence change.

We have a strong clinical and professional leadership team who are invested in supporting and developing staff backed up by the Trust’s commitment towards staff well-being. We, in turn, would welcome applicants with innovative and creative ideas, who will demonstrate a keen willingness to support the continued development of themselves and others as well as the service.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
