Summary
You will be required to
- Support pupils/children individually or in class or in small groups in identified areas of learning and personal development.
- Contribute information to update planning and review process for individual pupils/children.
- Supervise pupil/child self-administration of medication. You will offer a high level of personal care which will enable the pupil/child to function to their full potential e.g. toileting, administrating medication in line with agreed training procedures and encouraging self- help and independence.
- Carry out support programmes designed by visiting specialists e.g. speech and language programmes, physiotherapy and/or occupational therapy programmes.
- Support pupil/child mobility (as defined by moving and handling training) on an emergency/short-term basis and for low level needs e.g. to support toileting or short-term injury such as a broken leg.

- You are required to have good levels of interpersonal skills and abilities which will enable you to work as a member of a team to ensure positive outcomes for all children and young people.
- Experience of supporting young people with additional support needs
- 2 National 5’s, or 2 Standard Grades General, or 2 O Grades or equivalent (SCQF Level 4 or above
- Good IT Skills
