PRODUCTION OPERATIVE

ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking to appoint a Production Operative to assist with the production, filling and packing of products and components to finished goods and quality specifications. The role will support the Supervisor / Line Leader to ensure that the production filling and packing plans are completed on time.
Key tasks include
• To carry out tasks to ensure the production plan is met in full, making best use of resources and materials.
• To communicate with the Line leader to complete the required plans.
• To maintain and improve working methods where possible.
• To work as part of a team supporting other colleagues.
• To ensure Quality standards are maintained.
• To ensure 5S and agreed housekeeping standards are maintained – clean as you go.
• To maintain GMP/Hygiene standards to meet company requirements.
• To work safely and comply with safety rules and procedures, adhering to all policies and statutory legislation.
• To assist the line leader to ensure process control sheets are correct, completed and signed off every day.
ABOUT YOU
• You will be approachable and have a positive, ‘can do’ mind set and attitude, developing trust and respect from colleagues across the organization
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instruction.
• Can plan and organise workload plus work alone as well as part of a team.
• Interpersonally effective
• Solution focused, identifies problems early and responds in a timely fashion
• Good understanding of Maths & English
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
