Summary
A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Operations Manager within the Cancer Directorate. You will work alongside the existing Associate Operations Manager and have a defined portfolio providing senior operational leadership for the Cancer Directorate speciality teams.
You will also support the development of specific cancer projects e.g Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital with partner organisations, agreeing and communicating new models and ways of working. You will work autonomously to interpret the service specifications and challenge the way existing services are delivered within the Directorate, to deliver a highly efficient, world class services.
You will need to have proven experience in senior operational management ideally with knowledge of cancer pathways, covering multiple specialities and pathways. Knowledge of elective, outpatient and diagnostic national performance indicators and how changes to these pathways need to be managed/communicated. You will also require a high level understanding of activity/income to provide senior leadership on this core requirement.
Provide senior operational leadership for the Cancer Directorate speciality teams (Oncology, Haematology, Gynae-onc, Breast and urology), in line with best practice and national standards. Including line managing the Deputy Operations managers for each speciality.
To lead operational performance aspects of national strategy e.g RTT, Cancer Performance for the nominated specialities.
To lead demand and capacity planning.
The development of a CCRH with partner organisations, agreeing and communicating a new models and ways of working.
The mobilisation and implementation of new ways of working within Cancer regardless of the development of the CCRH.
Working with key stakeholders to enable the modelling and establishment of an appropriate workforce to deliver the service e.g new ways of working/new roles, including the management of the implementation of that workforce model.
