Summary

The Role:

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is excited to welcome an experienced and passionate Maritime Trainer to join our team at the Fleetwood Nautical College. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the next generation of maritime professionals and contribute to a forward-thinking academic community.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

As a Maritime Trainer, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality, hands-on training to students across various learning pathways, including apprenticeships, Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE), and commercial courses. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering engaging, practical, and theoretical maritime training for students, ensuring high standards of learning and skill development.
Conducting assessments and providing constructive feedback to support student progress and improvement.
Monitoring student progress and driving quality improvements, using digital platforms (e.g., e-portfolios, Canvas) to track success and retention.
Engaging in student recruitment and outreach activities like Open Days, including occasional weekend and overnight commitments.
Maintaining a commitment to health and safety practices, ensuring a safe learning environment.
